“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Job 12:7-8 NIV
Hello and Welcome
I am Peter, an Authorised Local Preacher at an Anglo Catholic Church in the Diocese of Chelmsford in Essex. I was baptized and confirmed in the Anglican tradition some years ago. I describe myself as Anglo-Catholic but I don't really think labels matter too much, it is God's Will that is important, not how I see myself. I have found that whatever I do and wherever I am God is with me. I don't always see it at the time but I believe it to be true. Through all the troubles, problems and difficulties He was there just as He has been with me during the good times - and there have been plenty of good times! In fact I know that He will be with me until the end of my time on this earth and beyond. I try to "see God in everything and everyone" and to do everything "for the greater glory of God" , however, both concepts are easier to say than to put into practice, but I do try. On the next pages you will find a few reflections on life, some drawn from the plants in my garden and the birds and animals that visit there, but not all. There are also some of the sermons I have preached. I hope that you will find something to think about. Please do take the time to have a look and if you feel like adding a comment well and good as I look forward to your feedback. Equally if you would like to share my reflections please feel free to do so. May the peace of God be with you. In Christ Peter |
