“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Job 12:7-8 NIV
Hello and Welcome
I am Peter, an Authorised Local Preacher at an Anglo Catholic Church in the Diocese of Chelmsford in Essex.
I was baptized and confirmed in the Anglican tradition some years ago. I describe myself as Anglo-Catholic but I don't really think labels matter too much, it is God's Will that is important, not how I see myself. I have found that whatever I do and wherever I am God is with me. I don't always see it at the time but I believe it to be true. Through all the troubles, problems and difficulties He was there just as He has been with me during the good times - and there have been plenty of good times! In fact I know that He will be with me until the end of my time on this earth and beyond.
I try to "see God in everything and everyone" and to do everything "for the greater glory of God" , however, both concepts are easier to say than to put into practice, but I do try.
On the next pages you will find a few reflections on life, some drawn from the plants in my garden and the birds and animals that visit there, but not all. There are also some of the sermons I have preached.
I hope that you will find something to think about.
Please do take the time to have a look and if you feel like adding a comment well and good as I look forward to your feedback. Equally if you would like to share my reflections please feel free to do so.
May the peace of God be with you.
